Itinerary

Day 1:Delhi to Kasol

Board your evening Volvo bus from Delhi to Kasol; it is an overnight journey till Kasol of approximately 14 hours. Next morning you will reach Kasol.

Day 2:Arrival in Bhuntar and transfer to Kasol

Bhuntar is the village from where the road diverges for Parvati Valley; it is also the confluence Point of Beas River with Parvati River.On your arrival at the Bhuntar bus stand in the morning, you will be transferred Kasol in a private vehicle to your hotel.

Kasol exploration & hangout: Hangout in cafes & restaurant of Kasol market. There are array of cafes & restaurants to check out there and also do try out the Israeli & local cuisine of Himachal Pradesh. After lunch, you may spend some time near the enchanting Parvati River and get some clicks with the beautiful nature. Later we will hike towards Chalal village - a small village along the Parvati River where you can experience pure nature, silence & fresh air. You will also get to know about the traditional lifestyle and culture of this Himachali village.

By evening, we will be back to our hotel/campsite where you may enjoy quality time with friends and other fellow travellers. Enjoy the light music and bonfire at the campsite. Have dinner followed by overnight stay in Kasol hotel/camps.

Day 3:Kheerganga Trek

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the stunning & scenic landscape. Freshen up, have breakfast with morning tea and get ready to begin the day.You’ll be transferred to Barsheni in private vehicle and from there; you start the trek and gradually reach Rudra Naag- the midpoint of the trek.While trekking, you will witness pristine waterfalls and breathtaking views which will keep you relaxed all the while. Also cafes & stop points are available where you may take short rests and indulge in some hot tea and snacks.On reaching Kheerganga, you can take a dip in the hot water springs to detox and cleanse yourself, both physically and spirituallyby the late evening, we gather at the campsite. Enjoy the bonfire with your friends & fellow travelers, followed by dinner and overnight stay in camps under the bright stars.

Day 4: Kheerganga – Kasol – Delhi

After catching a glorious sunrise and enjoy the mesmerizing view of mystic mountain peaks covering the Parvati valley, you proceed to come downhill after breakfastwe will start the return journey from Kheerganga to Barsheni followed by a drive to reach Kasol.

In evening post this, the cab will drop you at Bhuntar bus stand from where you board the Volvo Bus back to Delhi.

The months of April, May, October, and November are ideal to plan a trip to Kasol. The best season to visit Kasol is summers as the pleasant weather of the hill village making the place more serene and the liveliness just being perfect for a tour to a village in Kullu district.

What can one buy from the markets of Kasol?

Kasol has a pretty flea market which is lined with shops that offer a world of things under the sun- beautiful pendants, semi-precious stones, hippie Bob Marley t-shirts, snuggly woolens and little trinkets, the market has them all. Brush up your bargaining skills before you head to this market to get the best of deals. 

Are the tents safe for leaving the luggage while one goes for sightseeing?

Yes, absolutely. The tents are quite safe and they will also provide with a lock-key set. Thus, there isn’t anything to worry.

Is vegetarian food available in Kasol?

Kasol has a handful of popular restaurants and food joints, plus vegetarian food. It is also famous for its Israeli cuisine; Kasol is not called Mini Israel without a reason

Other Guidance

  • Climbers are reminded that there is a 15kg limit on personal luggage for all climbs.
  • Cameras, whether video or film, needed to be protected against the severe cold either in a warm pouch or the interior pockets of your clothing. Do not keep your camera in your backpack at higher elevations.
  • We do not provide donkeys or porters to carry luggage.
  • No insurance is provided during the trek.
  • When between camps, please carry your daily personal rubbish to the next camp.
  • Remember – “Take nothing but photographs, leave nothing but footprints”. So, keep the mountains clean and green.
  • Aspirins and Paracetamols are highly recommended for headaches and because they also thin the blood that will help improving circulation & oxygen delivery to the body.  Strong painkillers are not recommended as they can suppress respiration.
  • Personal expense of any kind will not be entertained.
